THE PEAPOD FOUNDATION'S GIFT TO THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH AFRICA FEATURING THE BLACK EYED PEAS AND FRIENDS
May 28, 2006
Johannesburg, South Africa
To produce a free benefit concert event of historical proportion for the people of South Africa who have never been able to experience a concert event of this magnitude in their lifetime.
The two-time Grammy winning multi-platinum artists, The Black Eyed Peas, who have achieved sales of nearly 17 million worldwide, return to South Africa to deliver on a promise to bring a free show to audiences of at least 30,000 made possible by the generous support of Miller Genuine Draft. The concert is the first major philanthropic endeavor for The Peapod Foundation, founded by The Black Eyed Peas in association with the Entertainment Industry Foundation.
The Peapod Benefit Concert South Africa will also help raise awareness for The Peapod Foundation’s philanthropic work in the region including raising funds for the acclaimed Adopt-A-School Program in South Africa.
